Pornography Use, Couples, and Relational Ethics

    Presented by

    David Benavdez, LMFT

    Friday, Feb 13th
    9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
4950 Memorial Dr Houston, TX 77007

    Description:

The presentation will cover the problems that pornography use can create, when it doesn’t create problems, and how therapists can help bridge the gap for couples when it represents an issue in their relationship. Attendees will learn more about what forms problems may take and will learn techniques and approaches for assisting clients. Relational Ethics will also be used as a point of professional and practical reference in approaching these cases, including bridging the gap between the presenter’s professional experience and those in attendance.

    About Our Presenter:

David Benavidez (he/him) is a LMFT who has been working in private practice since 2019. Having worked with families, couples, and individuals, he prefers to work with individuals and greatly respects those who work with families and couples. David’s core work is with clients with relationship/relational issues, personal mastery (self-improvement), sexual issues (including unhealthy relationships with pornography), and life transitions. He enjoys reading non-fiction, learning about anything, and experiencing some chaos, and hopes for people to live authentically and joyfully.
