On Living: Creating Space for Anticipatory Grief and the Bereaved

Harvard Divinity School-educated hospice chaplain Kerry Egan and Elizabeth Cobb, LMFT-S, LPC-S will share stories, insight, and lessons learned from their experiences counseling the dying and the bereaved. 

Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to define "meaning making".

2. Participants will be able to describe two current grief and bereavement theory models.

3. Participants will be able to list five self-care practices for the helping professional. 

Participants of this workshop are eligible to receive 3 CEUs. 

Kerry currently resides in Charleston, SC. Her book On Living (2016) is on the New York Times's Religion, Spirituality and Faith best seller list. Elizabeth, the outgoing-HAMFT President, is in private practice in the Galleria/Memorial Park area.
